On 4 June 2026, the Moog 4 – Iain Evans, Hisham Alkhamesi, Frank Sherman and Hana Yun-Stevens – went on trial at Birmingham Crown Court. The court was told that they had broken into the Wolverhampton factory of Moog Aircraft Group on 25 August 2025, cutting into the roof with power tools, aiming to have the factory shut down for as long as possible to interrupt ship-ments to the Zionist state and save lives in Gaza. The four had been held on remand for six months prior to being released on bail with conditions which included not having any contact with one another prior to their trial.
Moog is a manufacturing company which makes machine parts, medical devices and components for the M-356 training jet, which it sends to Israel. There, the Israeli Air Force uses the trainer jet to prepare its pilots for their role in the genocide, conducting ruthless bombing campaigns.
Pro-Palestine activists, including Birmingham FRFI, maintained a demonstration outside Birmingham Crown Court throughout the trial, ensuring that Moog’s relationship to the Zionist war machine was clear to everyone entering the court.
Despite the prosecutor’s best efforts to persuade the jury that the decision to convict would be simple, the case resulted in yet another split jury, who stated they could not come to a unanimous decision even if given more time. On 18 June the jury was dismissed and on 3 July a retrial scheduled for March 2027.
