On 1 July, the thousandth day since the start of the Zionist genocide on Gaza, Palestinian liberation organisations stated: ‘The confrontation with the Zionist-American and Western colonial system, armed with every kind of weapon, has not defeated the spirit of the Palestinian people.’
In a joint statement, the Palestinian resistance factions made clear their ongoing opposition to imperialist plans for Gaza. They rejected external tutelage and reiterated the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination. Here we print a summary of their statements on the current impasse.
‘The occupation continues its killing, starvation, and denying medical treatment in the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement being in effect. [This is] a continuation of the war of genocide by other means… According to the occupation, it has taken 70% of Gaza… Palestinian organisations must now agree on a strategy for the way forward.’ Hazem Qassem, Hamas
‘The aggression has resulted in over 73,000 martyrs, including 21,500 children and 12,500 women, with 173,000 wounded and 9,500 missing. The Front warns against the expansion of Israeli control via the westward movement of the “Yellow Line” and explicitly rejects any attempts to exclude UNRWA from the future of Gaza, labeling such proposals a dangerous violation of refugee rights.’ Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine
‘This 1,000-day milestone serves as a testament to both the Israeli failure to break Palestinian will and the profound moral failure of the international system… The war has exposed the true face of the occupation. [In particular] the Arab and Islamic nations must intensify efforts to isolate the rogue entity and hold its leaders accountable.’ al-Ahrar Movement
‘We condemn the “Board of Peace” and its bias toward the occupation, asserting that targeting UNRWA is a calculated attempt to liquidate the Palestinian refugee cause and the right of return.’ Mujahideen Movement
‘At this bloody juncture [the PFLP] affirms that what has occurred and continues to occur is a project of systematic genocide and ethnic cleansing… in full view of the world, under the political, military, and media cover of international powers that bear full responsibility for the continuation of this crime… Our people’s determination to hold fast to their land and defend their existence and national rights will prevail.’ Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
‘The Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement calls upon all resistance forces, national forces, popular organisations, and our people in the homeland and the diaspora to shoulder their historical responsibilities and engage in a responsible national dialogue leading to the construction of a unified national leadership and the launch of a new stage of the Palestinian struggle, based on resistance in all its legitimate forms, and on the unity of the Palestinian people, the unity of their cause, and the unity of their objectives.’ Masar Badil
