The Revolutionary Communist Group – for an anti-imperialist movement in Britain

Hamja Ahsan describes how British state repression made him become an activist and organiser

In this film Hamja Ahsan – the brother of Talha Ahsan, a British citizen currently incarcerated in a US supermax following his extradition in October 2012 – talks about how his experiences have made him into a political activist.

Hamja describes how NGOs like Amnesty International and Liberty come ‘late to the game’ once the hardest work of solidarity and support has been done by family and grassroots supporters.  Unlike these opportunists Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!  has supported Talha and his co-accused Babar Ahmad, from the start and will continue to campaign in solidarity with the prisoners of the ‘war on terror’ and against Britain’s racist prisons and extradition policy.
