The Revolutionary Communist Group – for an anti-imperialist movement in Britain

Free the Keysight 3! Never be silent!

On 12 April three activists from People Against Genocide took action against Keysight Technologies in Hampshire, a supplier of the US military and Israeli weapons trade.

The firm which produces radar and electronic warfare systems is a key supplier to UAV Tactical Systems, a drone factory owned by Israel’s biggest weapons firm.

Keysight also works with the US Army, Air Force and weapons companies including Lockheed Martin, specialising in 5G technology for the ‘battlefield’.

The Keysight Three – Joy Gnapi, Steven Davies and Ian Roberts – were remanded in custody and are due to be tried in July 2027. We have received the article below from Ian, who is currently in Wandsworth prison.

Firstly, a massive shout out to the Brize Norton 6, Filton 25, Instro 10 and SOAS 2 – they’re all family, one body, one fight.

The bravery of our political prisoners to take action and the strength in adversity they have shown and continue to show is something to behold. What they have done is the very essence of humanity. For all the martyred and the innocents who continue to suffer, a stand had to be taken, to save lives and show support to all those living under the shadow of oppression.

We felt that it was important that someone else stood up and let the government and the arms industry know that people will always rise up against the horrific situation in Palestine.

No matter what the losses for us, in the face of THEIR LOSSES, they will always be inconsequential for me. There was no option for us. There is only one way ESCALATION NATION.

We stood on each others’ shoulders and carry each other. The proscription [of Palestine Action under the Terrorism Act] makes it more important, more clear for me.

Taking action was the obvious choice, the only choice for every piece of stolen potential, every parent who has suffered. We must not let them get away with this. I have no regrets and still don’t see any other way.

It was important and necessary to take action against Keysight Technology as they are the manufacturers of radar and 5G technology for Elbit Systems. Their research and development arm provides equipment for sighting the drones. They provide surveillance and tracking capabilities to the Israeli military.

Keysight Technologies and every other subsidiary that plies its trade under the cover of government shadow will be exposed and their involvement in these genocides brought to light.

Prison for me is not so bad. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a nice place but when I think of all the innocents wrongly imprisoned for being Palestinian and the horrific conditions they endure, the sickening torture they go through, then who am I to complain?

It is very oppressive and dehumanising, the system tries to crush your spirit and make you voiceless. Upon reception the paperwork said ‘terror link’ with no basis. I’ve been told my clothing is unauthorised and in three months I’ve been to seg and been on Basic numerous times. Whilst down segregation all of my personal possessions were somehow taken from a locked cell. Emails and contacts were lost too. But as I’ve said these are mere mishaps compared to what many others are unfortunately going through. I’m now in a single cell after constant harassment to share, due to the pressure for prison spaces, however, I find peace in my solitude personally.

I have found many prisoners supportive and there are pockets of humanity everywhere, including sometimes among staff?!! A lot of prisoners here are being oppressed by the same system, and we are all humans struggling to be heard.

The support from outside has been a constant source of love and humanity. Emails and cards are really appreciated, and from my heart thank you and bless you all for taking the time. It raises the spirit which is at times necessary.

Keep on supporting the movement in any way you can. No matter how small you think your involvement is, we are all parts that only together can become more than we are. Keep going to rallies, keep going to pickets. Keep on writing to political prisoners. Please attend and support all of those at court. Keep raising your voices and exposing injustice. Never be silent.

Since writing this, Ian has once again been placed in segregation.  Please write to him to show your solidarity:
